Last night took me to the Manchester Apollo to photograph the fans at a Swedish House Mafia gig. The record company had set up a step board / press board to photograph against as a backdrop, with the band’s logo etc on it.
A lot of fun was had by all and the photos got sillier as the evening progressed and the excitable clientele became suitably refreshed.
Virgin Records / EMI are using this commercial / publicity / PR photography to go on the SHM facebook page, generating traffic and feedback for the fans.
Commercial photography in Manchester can take several forms, this is one of the more entertaining.
